The beauty of this promise is that God does not abandon us in our troubles. He hears the cries of the righteous and responds with deliverance. However, we must also take responsibility for our relationship with Him. Just as the wise virgins kept their lamps burning, we too must cultivate a vibrant faith, filled with the oil of the Holy Spirit, so that we can shine brightly in the darkness.
