The foolish, however, neglected to prepare and eventually found themselves locked out when the moment came. This story reminds us that the gift of the Holy Spirit empowers us, but it also requires us to be ready and vigilant.
Receiving the Holy Spirit is not merely an event; it is an ongoing journey of faith and preparation. Just as the wise virgins kept their lamps lit and their vessels full, we are called to cultivate our relationship with God. We must actively seek the Holy Spirit's guidance, filling our hearts and lives with His presence, so that we can shine brightly for Christ.
Being witnesses in Jerusalem, Judaea, Samaria, and the uttermost parts of the earth necessitates a heart that has been filled with the oil of the Holy Spirit. We cannot give what we do not possess.
